US under Secretary of Commerce Phillip J. Bond to discuss US administration’s privacy approach at Privacy by Design conference

Montreal - November 20, 2001 - US Under Secretary of Commerce for Technology Phillip J. Bond will discuss the Bush administration's perspective on shaping industry practices with regard to privacy, at the second annual Privacy By Design conference presented by Zero-Knowledge® Systems in Montreal, December 3-5, 2001. Bond will also present his insights into how government can foster a climate of innovation for information protection and privacy within industry. As Under Secretary of Commerce for Technology, Bond serves as the principal advisor to Commerce Secretary Donald Evans on science and technology policy to maximize technology's contribution to America's economic growth.
